How to Find Followers on Social Networking Sites

One of the most frequent questions I receive from those starting out in social networking is “How do I find followers?” Well, first you need to be clear of who your demographic really is. (And the answer is not ‘anyone who’ll pay for my product or service.)

Think about whom you would most love to work with or who would be ecstatic to have found your product. Are they male, female, or either? How old are they? What profession are they in? Do they have children? Are they married, in a relationship, or single? What keeps them up at night? What excites them? Where do they live? What hobbies do they have?
